Producer Overview
Cornelio Camiña Villano is doing at 28 what generally takes decades to hone — developing difficult cultivars at extreme altitudes, and processing them in complex (and delicious) ways. His crop has been pre-sold out for the last 2 years, so we're very excited to bring you this coffee. This particular lot is Gesha Inka, a Peruvian specialty originating from Cornelio's hometown of Inkawasi. Using a washed, twice fermented process, expect a silky, dense coffee absolutely covered in tangerines, honey, a bouquet of sweet florals, and a vibrant citrus acidity the whole way through.  Read more here.

Under Ebert Huaman Villegas' leadership, Finca Artemira cultivates 15 hectares of coffee, growing varieties like Red Bourbon, Caturra, Pache, and what we have presented here, Gesha. Their coffee has earned recognition in Peruvian Cajamarca competitions and the 2023 Cup of Excellence, leading to exports to the UK, South Korea, and now the US. We are extremely excited to be one of the first to introduce this excellent farm, and display a really unique expression. Expect a variety of wines, deeper sweet notes than usual with this variety, and a bright citrus acid to balance that out. Read more here.
